DANIEL GALLION

DANIEL GALLION

Founder & Director

Daniel holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Music Education from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. He is a licensed K-12 general music and choral director. Daniel has been teaching at SMCSC since 2008 and has been instrumental (pun intended) in the growth and development of the choral music programs in the district as well as building interest and excitement surrounding music education in the town of Pendleton by offering private music lessons, group lesson classes, and special performance opportunities. Daniel is an alumni of the Ball State University Singers, the Chamber Choir, and BSU Opera Theatre. He has been teaching private voice lessons since 2002 and working as a public school choral director, in Indiana, since 2006. Under his direction, his high school and middle school show choirs and concert choirs have won numerous awards and earned several gold ratings at ISSMA organizational, as well as festivals. Private students of Gallion’s have gone on to win music performance competitions, perform successful auditions, attend music school, begin teaching music themselves, and (maybe more importantly) enjoy music. He is a member of Indiana Choral Director’s Association & American Choral Director’s Association, National Association for Music Education, Phi Mu Epsilon, and Indiana Piano Teachers Guild. He is married to his best friend Amy and they have three incredible children: Carter, Gemma, and Thatcher (each of them are budding young musicians). As the owner of Fishers Music Academy and Pendleton Music Academy (PMA), Daniel teaches piano, voice, and guitar lessons. He is also the founder and director of the Pendleton Children’s Choir.
